Chris Thornhill & Jen Bayford
Co-founders of marketing agency Growth Animals, Chris Thornhill and Jen Bayford, are both marketing strategy experts for SMEs, and champions of the mindset and approach of ethical marketing, advising clients on how to market ethically and increase positive impact alongside the bottom line. Before launching Growth Animals in 2020, Chris and Jen worked together for five years in-house at the Goodwood Estate in West Sussex, where Chris was Head of Marketing across a variety of sectors including hospitality, tourism and events. Prior to Goodwood, Chris spent his career in domestic and international marketing roles within Carlsberg, and Jen operated in the beauty industry, marketing brands like Issey Miyake Parfum, La Prairie and The Body Shop.
As marketing strategy consultants, Chris and Jen both specialise in developing marketing and brand strategies, marketing activity plans and creative campaigns, whilst drawing on Growth Animals’ in-house specialists to create visual brand identities, and content and digital marketing strategies. Furthermore, Jen and Chris act as fractional CMO/Marketing Directors for SMEs, driving, aligning and reviewing the delivery of marketing strategy and activity plans, drawing on their years of in-house experience to manage and coach clients’ in-house teams, alongside the Growth Animals delivery team and partners.
