On September 21st, we had the absolute privilege of hosting the UK Independent Agencies’ Conference 2023 in London.
The room was abuzz with innovative ideas and enduring enthusiasm from the finest minds in the industry.
It goes without saying, the industry faces some tough challenges – some are macroeconomic, others structural, and the role of new technology, in particular AI, will continue to evolve.
But as our wonderful host, Jo Ryzmowska reminded us, in a democracy, the role of marketing and communications is ever apparent, and Independent agencies and consultancies are well positioned to respond to the current economic challenges and take advantage of the opportunities that change presents. Ultimately people still buy from people, and as we heard, clients are increasingly buying from people, not agencies.
