Zzoomm was created in 2019 with the ambition of building full fibre broadband networks in mid-sized towns across the UK. Pimento was appointed to support the launch of the new brand, bringing together members Folio Ideas and Complete Digital to form a virtual marketing team responsible for developing and implementing its launch strategy.

Pimento was appointed to support the launch of the new brand, bringing together members Folio Ideas and Complete Digital to form a virtual marketing team responsible for developing and implementing its launch strategy.

How do you take a completely new broadband brand from creation to market?
As a new entrant to the high-speed broadband sector, Zzoomm needed to establish its brand, proposition and marketing operation from the ground up.
The business required a comprehensive launch strategy covering everything from brand and communications through to pricing, customer experience and digital development, alongside the creation of a permanent internal marketing team.

Pimento selected Folio Ideas and Complete Digital to work together as Zzoomm’s virtual marketing team.
The team developed a marketing strategy spanning brand development, launch planning and communications, national and local PR, website and digital development, product and proposition development, market research, pricing, customer experience and internal communications.
The team was also responsible for supporting the recruitment of Zzoomm’s permanent marketing function as the business became established.

Results
A successful launch followed by £100m of investment for expansion.
Zzoomm launched in Henley in mid-2019, where the new brand was warmly received by local residents. Its products entered the market in early 2020 and subsequently sold well.
The business went on to attract approximately £100 million in investment to fund its expansion into multiple towns across the UK.
